Amerzone – The Explorer’s Legacy, Benoit Sokal’s first big videogame hit will be getting a remake by French studio Microids and it will land later this year on current gen consoles and PC. Considered a an adventure gaming classic, the original version of the Amerzone was released in 1999 and it’s currently available on Steam with a 90% discount.
The fan-beloved videogame creator sadly passed away in 2021, and his last game, Syberia: The World Before, was released a year later to great reviews, including ours. Sokal’s catalog includes the aforementioned Amerzone – The Explorer’s Legacy, and the first three Syberia games, all of which have an immense cult following.
