In preparation for this week’s release of the Switch 2 and the arrival of Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut, a newly-realised version of one of our favorite entries in the series, Sega has put out a trailer in the form of an old style 1-800 line commercial from the 1980s. It teases a 1-888-YAKUZA0 line that those who live in the US can call.
As always, be sure to heed these details before dialing in, as per usual. Seriously, these are not a joke:
“Must be 18 years or older to call. Please note that this toll-free number (1-888-925-8920) is intended for callers within the United States. While it may be possible to call this number from outside the US, it is not guaranteed to work from all countries, and standard international calling rates may apply.“
For those unaware, “The Director’s Cut features 25+ minutes of new cutscene content as well as a new Red Light Raid mode, featuring four-player co-op combat missions with online matchmaking. In this brand-new mode, players can team up and take down mobs of increasingly powerful enemies with players around the world across six different challenge missions with a roster of sixty playable characters.” according to the press release.
We’re very much looking forward to diving back to the seedy alleys of 1980s Kamurocho for another go! What about you, hm?
Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut is coming out day-and-date with the Switch 2 later this week, on the 5th.
